Our Deep conditioner, Honey and Sage, is the only treatment not made/prepared in-house but is all natural and purchased from Alikay Naturals, a black owned business. This deep conditioner smells like a delicious caramelly baked treat and makes your hair feel like it did before your mom started letting you do it yourself. The featured ingredients: homey, babassu oil and sage make this conditioner special. Honey, which we talked about previously, is great for moisture and acts as a humectant (which means it attracts water). Babassu oil penetrates the hair to diminish dryness and itchy scalp and sage increases blood circulation in the scalp and promotes skin renewal. The Honey and Sage deep conditioner is applied the hair and a warm towel (gotta love those warm towels) and plastic cap is placed on top. You're placed under the dryer for 20-30 minutes and rinsed with cool water afterwards.

Our steam treatment is an easy way to add moisture back into the hair. When hair and skinvis warm it opens up and makes it easier for your hair and scalp to get moisture from water, that's why steam is so perfect! We wrap your hair with a warm towel and plastic cap and you're placed under the dryer for 20-30 minutes... no rinsing necessary, just like our herbal rinse. We brew tea using dry herbs like chamomile, lavender, hibiscus, kettle leaf and calendula. We then add essential oils like sweet lavender, tea tree, peppermint, ylang ylang, chamomile, sweet orange and eucalyptus depending on your preference and needs. This hair tea is then poured all over your hair and scalp and left on.

The last 3 treatments are our sugar scalp exfoliation, loc detox and bentonite clay treatment. These treatments, unlike the others, are used for cleansing and detoxifying purposes versus moisturizing. We recommend you do these treatments once a month at maximum and once every 3 months, ideally. Our loc detox is made of bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar (ACV). Your locs are submerged for 15-20 minutes and rinsed. Bentonite clay is negatively charged and attracts positively charged dirt, build up and protects which helps cleanse and detoxify the hair and scalp. ACV is an anti-microbial that keeps away infection causing bacteria. The sugar scalp exfoliation is a process where we part your hair and exfoliate your scalp with all natural brown sugar. Then we stick you in the oven on 400 degrees and bake you for 45 minutes. Just kidding, 45 minutes is waaay too long and you'd be dry and not very appetizing; I'd get kicked out of the potlock.
