This one we titled it to hopefully get you to read and donate to a fundraiser. We’ve seen first hand the impact it has.

I’m penning this email at 4:30AM the morning after my TWST Bar salon pulled an 11 hr shift with 20 staff members to offer FREE $95 hair services to our Furloughed community. We made a record servicing 73 clients in one day.

When we put out that we were doing this the response was overwhelming and we had to take down the sign up sheet early.

This service is absolutely needed in a time like this and it's just for the sake of making people feel beautiful when life isn’t feeling so cinematic. The community I witnessed, the stories I heard, the tears people shed when simply saying “thank you” was beyond inspiring and enough for me to say we need to run this back if the shutdown doesn’t end this week!

The salon covered the pay of our team for this one day special. Now we’re asking you to cover the next one. We have raised ($827 so far, $100 of which was donated in cash by someone who came to our salon to thank us for what we were doing for the community.)

If we are able to raise $3K we can hold this event for a second time. And I’d really like for us to do that. And you should want for us to do that and you should want to help, IF you can.

No we’re not saving starving children, yes there are bigger problems. But as a salon, this a problem we can help solve. If you’re receiving this newsletter you already know the power that a good hair salon experience can have on you.

When you look good you feel good. But when you find community you feel safe, you feel loved and you feel cared for. Imagine the effect it has on your community to have a team of people walking around feeling good about themselves. The holiday season is coming up. Help us, help our people.
